What would you do if you had just graduated from a Maritime school and looking forward to sailing the Seven Seas to see the places you have always dreamed of and give your parents, who have been working hard all your life, some rest and comfort, but because of a very painful freak injury, all these hopes and wishes have been turned to ashes?
What would you do if just a couple of years ago, you were playing basketball with your friends, running almost every morning, and going here, there and everywhere without even thinking that someday you wouldn't be able to walk straight without crutches?
I was down in the darkest dumps and thought of giving up countless times, but because of the love and support of my family and friends, I decided to stand back up. Even just on one foot.
Now, I may not be able to go after my old dreams, but I can certainly find new dreams.
Instead of working on a ship and sailing the world, I'd be happy to do any decent job to support myself and help my family.
Instead of playing basketball and running again, just walking with more ease and mobility would bring me great joy.
My family's resources may have been depleted, but our hearts are full, and I am praying the future may still be bright for us.
Please support me by directing me to a foundation that would be able to help me get a prosthetic leg.
Thank you. I would be forever grateful. - JPG
