Guimaras Specialist Medical Center, Inc. celebrated its second year of providing quality healthcare to the province with a 3K Run and Walk held on Sunday, February 1.
In collaboration with Batang Isla, led by Mr. Russell Liรฑgat, the event drew approximately 150 participants from across the island. The run served not only as an anniversary milestone but also as a promotion of health and wellness within the local community.
The event awarded participants across various categories, highlighting both athletic performance and personal perseverance. Major awards were presented to the Top 3 runners in the Menโs, Womenโs, and Childrenโs (12 and under) categories.
A 3-year-old participant received the youngest runner special award for eagerly completing the full 3K course. Another special award was given to the strongest runners, the final participants to cross the finish line, in recognition of their commendable endurance.
The success of the fun run was made possible through the coordinated support of local agencies and officials. GSMCI extends its gratitude to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) for ensuring participant safety, as well as to the LGU of Barangay San Miguel, represented by Barangay Captain Hon. Jose Victor Chavez.
The event was held under the leadership of GSMCI President Dr. Putli Jahallia Fuerte and spearheaded by Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Carl Joseph Uy.
GSMCI continues to provide specialized medical services and compassionate care to the residents of Guimaras, striving to be the premier healthcare provider in the province.
