Every September, we celebrate
This is the time to empower conversations, promote safe practices, and support healthier relationships.
But the reality in the Philippines today is alarming:
๐ HIV cases have surged by 550%, reaching 252,800 cases in 2025 (WHO).
๐ง The Philippine Statistics Authority recorded 3,343 births among girls aged 10โ14 just last year with 99% of these children fathered by significantly older men.
These numbers highlight the urgent need for s*xual health education. Through awareness and open dialogue, we can take action:
โ
Regular STI testing
โ
Vaccination
โ
Safe contraception use
โ
Advocacy for comprehensive s*x education
Last week, during Medweek 2025, Project Prism had the privilege of sharing s*xual health education with students of West Visayas State University, one step closer to building a healthier, more informed community.
Let break the stigma. Let's talk about it. Let's act!
