As we face the effects of Typhoon Tino, the Newborn Screening Center Visayas prays for everyone’s safety especially our dedicated Newborn Screening Coordinators and partner health facilities across the Visayas.

We remind all facilities to:

1. Properly pack ENBS samples to protect filter cards from getting wet and prevent contamination.

2. Coordinate with our courier regarding their operations in your area.

3. If pick-ups are suspended due to the weather, secure ENBS samples in a dry, safe place until transport services resume.

4. Prioritize sending samples once courier operations are restored to ensure timely testing and avoid further delays.

Your safety remains our top priority. Let’s continue to work together to ensure the integrity of all newborn screening samples and the timely service every newborn deserves.

(Example: 15 / 10 / 25 for October 15, 2025)

Incorrect date entries may result in delayed screening, diagnosis, and management; hence, your strict compliance is highly encouraged.
