𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐗 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲’𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞

The Iloilo City Health and Wellness Tourism Council successfully held its first official meeting on January 16, 2026 following the issuance of Executive Order No. 141, Series of 2025, by Mayor Raisa S. Treñas, establishing the Council to advance health and wellness tourism in Iloilo City.

Led by Dr. Candice Tupas, Executive Assistant for Medical Tourism and Co-Chairperson/Alternate of the Mayor, the meeting brought together key stakeholders from the medical, wellness, tourism, academic, and private sectors to align efforts in positioning Iloilo City as a premier destination for quality healthcare and holistic wellness services.

As part of this initiative, GalenX is a member of the Technical Working Group (TWG), which will serve as the Council’s expert body responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring technical strategies, policies, and standards to strengthen health and wellness tourism in the city. Through its involvement, GalenX supports the Council’s mission to promote innovation, excellence, and sustainable growth in health and wellness tourism.

The inaugural meeting laid the groundwork for strong partnerships and coordinated efforts, reinforcing the Council’s commitment to excellence, professionalism, and integrity in transforming Iloilo City into a hub for health, healing, and wellness tourism for both local and international communities.
