In celebration of Womenโs Month 2026 with the theme โWE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,โ the Central Student Government of Initao College successfully launched Serbisyo Para Kay Juana: a meaningful initiative dedicated to empowering and caring for every woman in the academic community. The event highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare through a Philpen Assessment, offering services such as blood pressure monitoring, and other essential screenings. This initiative served as a reminder that womenโs health is a vital foundation in building an inclusive and equitable society.
The program was strengthened by informative and inspiring discussions from dedicated healthcare professionals. Juddah Benjur Jabla, RN raised awareness on breast cancer, emphasizing early detection and self-examination. Shawn Clealan Catipay, RN discussed cervical cancer prevention, highlighting the importance of regular screening and vaccination. Meanwhile, Lilith Ladera, RN shared valuable insights on family planning, empowering women to make informed choices about their reproductive health. These sessions not only educated but also encouraged women to take charge of their overall well-being.
More than just a health activity, Serbisyo Para Kay Juana became a movement of unity, awareness, and empowerment. It reminded everyone that when women are supported, informed, and valued, communities thrive. Together, let us continue to stand for gender equality, uplift one another, and create a society where every woman feels seen, heard, and cared for.
