We’ve just wrapped up Day 2 of our Medical Mission at the UZ Gymnasium. In partnership with Felcame Grant Inc., our team worked tirelessly to ensure that quality healthcare reaches those who need it most. From bright smiles at the dental clinic to clearer visions at the eye station, every consultation brings us closer to a healthier community.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬! 💊🩻🩺🚐

Today at the Imelda Gymnasium, the medical mission conducted in collaboration with Felcame Grant Inc., successfully provided essential healthcare services to a significant number of community members. The event was supported by a diverse team of 63 medical professionals and volunteers.

The mission was powered by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient care:
* Nurses: 27
* Doctors: 7
* Dentists: 4
* Specialized Staff: 1 Pharmacist, 1 MedTech, 1 Phlebotomist
* Support: 22 Volunteers

A total of 𝟭,𝟯𝟲𝟵 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 were recorded and serviced across various medical areas:

The mission achieved a high patient turnout, particularly in general consultations and vision care. The partnership with the 𝗥𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗮 ensured a well-staffed environment capable of addressing a wide range of medical needs in a single day.

The Office of the Provincial Health Officer (OPHO) led by Dr. Ulysses D. Silorio, welcomed the arrival of our esteemed guests from 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗰. with a simple yet heartfelt dinner. 🍽️✨

Here is a short background about the organization:

✅ 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙁𝙚𝙡𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙄𝙣𝙘.?

It is a private, non-profit foundation based in Hollis, New York. The organization operates primarily as a philanthropic entity that facilitates medical aid and charitable support from the United States to specific regions in the Philippines.

✅ 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣?

The core purpose of Felcame Grant Inc. is to improve healthcare access and provide humanitarian relief to underserved communities. Its mission is centered on bridging the gap between available medical resources in the U.S. and the urgent healthcare needs of rural Filipino populations.

✅ 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨?

1) BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Usually involving members of the Filipino-American community in New York.

2) HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS: Volunteers including doctors, dentists, and nurses who participate in their overseas missions.

3) LOGISTICS VOLUNTEERS: Individuals responsible for repacking of medicine, tracking supplies, and managing shipping of materials.

✅ 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧?

1) MEDICAL AND DENTAL MISSIONS: They organize and fund missions where they provide direct health services to residents.

2) SUPPLY PROVISION: They source and distribute medicine, medical supplies, and dental equipment.

3) FINANCIAL GRANTS: They provide annual grants to support local health initiatives and costs related to their missions.

The following days will be a collaboration of healthcare services between the Felcame Grant Inc., OPHO, and the RHUs from Imelda and Ipil respectively. It is with grateful hearts that we extend our network and partnership with organizations from across the globe. 🤝🏻 🩺🩻⚕️💉💊

The 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰, 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞-𝐔𝐩, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐑𝐒𝐌𝐏) for Health, conducted on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟓-𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 was spearheaded by the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, with 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 presenting the program standards, performance indicators, and evaluation criteria. The activity served as a platform to systematically review health program implementation. assess results, and identify best practices that contribute to improved service delivery and better health outcomes.

The activity was actively participated in by 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐬 (𝐑𝐇𝐔𝐬) 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞, fostering shared learning and collaboration across health facilities. By scaling up proven and high-interventions and recognizing exemplary performance through merit, the program strengthened accountability, motivated health workers, and promoted a culture of excellence - advancing quality, responsive, and people-centered health services province-wide. 🏨🏥🩺📈📊
