HEPATITIS B is an infection of the liver caused by the Hepatitis B Virus. This is acquired thru contact with infected body fluids, such as blood, saliva, vaginal secretions and semen. It can also be transferred from mother to baby during pregnancy. If not detected and treated early, Hepatitis B infection can lead to chronic and more severe infection, or worst, liver cancer.

Healthcare workers are at a higher risk of getting the virus because of the risk of needlesstick injuries and exposure to contaminated body fluids. That is why, getting vaccinated is very important and crucial.

⚕️Do you have asthma or other co-morbidities? All the more reason you should be vaccinated!

⚕️Are you pregnant? You can still get vaccinated during all trimesters. It can protect you for from serious illnesses and hospitalizations during pregnancy. Also, getting vaccinated during pregnancy protects your baby for several months after birth.

⚕️Do you have allergies? No worries! Before you get vaccinated, you will undergo screening if you can be vaccinated with the available vaccines. There are also vaccines that do NOT contain egg, which is a common allergen.

⚕️Are you immunocompromised? No problem! Let's use HERD IMMUNITY by vaccinating the caregivers and household members to get you protected!
