Toddlers don’t just watch shows like Blippi… they copy it.

A lot of popular kids’ shows today are designed to be extremely high energy with fast paced scenes, bright visuals, exaggerated voices, constant movement.

Because that's what keeps young kids engaged!

But at the toddler and preschool age, children don’t separate entertainment from real life. They learn by observing and repeating.

So when they’re watching shows like Blippi or similar high stimulation content, they’re not just passively watching…

They’re practicing.

Practicing the tone of voice.
Practicing the WEIRD reactions.
Practicing the level of energy.

And over time, that can show up as:

louder, more chaotic play with a lot of silly behavior
constant “performance-style” behavior
difficulty settling into independent play
needing more stimulation to stay engaged

This doesn’t mean anything is “wrong” with kids today.

It means their environment is louder, faster, and more stimulating than it used to be and their behavior reflects that.

Because what young children are exposed to consistently… becomes their baseline.

This is about understanding that not all content affects kids the same way.

Slower, calmer input creates space for:

imagination
focus
independent play

While fast, high-stimulation content can make everything else feel “boring” in comparison.

Awareness is where change starts.

When we are talking about Autism, many people assume that it means “anti-social” but in truth, it just means social in a different way!

Making a child be involved in household chores or daily routines will develop not only their motor skills but also their language and self confidence, as they are able to accomplish taks at home.
