Ultraviolet Light Therapy
Since Egyptian times, sunlight has been used for treatment of wide variety of skin diseases. Overtime, science has enhanced this practice to be more suitable to our needs in modern times. Our phototherapy center offers this service using a state of the art Narrow Band UVB machine. Ultraviolet B rays are proven to be effective in the control of certain disease like Psoriasis, Vitiligo, Atopic Dermatitis, & Severe itching. By exposure to the therapeutic wavelength of 311 nm of UVB, patients receive its anti-inflammatory effects and at the same time limiting the harmful effect of skin cancers. This is an alternative option for patients who are tired of applying creams or are uneasy with taking immunosuppresive drugs.
This is the first and currently the only Narrow Band UVB machine in the island of Panay. Our machine is widely used by dermatologist and is made with great craftmanship in Germany. Although we are located in Kalibo, we wish to service patients from all over Aklan, Antique, Capiz, & Iloilo.
Our phototherapist is well-trained to assist you and give the recommended dose/s prescribed by your dermatologist. Our center has up to date and stringent Anti-COVID protocols to put you at ease while you are receiving your treatments.
