The Kaputian Rural Health Unit (RHU) proudly participated in the Linggo ng Kabataan 2025 medical mission, a significant event spearheaded by the City Mayor's Office of the Island Garden City of Samal (IGCS). The mission took place in Barangay Libertad, Kaputian District III, with the goal of providing essential healthcare services and health education to the community, particularly the youth. The Kaputian RHU team, led by District Health Physician Dr. Fitz Gerald M. Llanos, was at the forefront of this initiative, ensuring its success and positive impact.

The day-long activity was a hive of purposeful energy. The RHU team, with their dedication, set up various stations to cater to the community's health needs. A medical screening and consultation area was established, where residents could receive a professional check-up and discuss their health concerns with our physicians. This was complemented by a vital sign taking and monitoring station, a crucial first step in assessing the overall health of each patient.
The mission went beyond consultations, offering tangible support through laboratory services and the distribution of free medicines. This comprehensive approach ensured that patients not only received a diagnosis but also the necessary resources for treatment. The community of Barangay Libertad expressed immense gratitude for the services, highlighting the mission's importance in areas where access to healthcare can be challenging.

๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: Our resource speaker is Mr. Eliazar L. Gualdajara, Jr., RMT, MSMT. With dengue being a persistent public health concern, he educated the youth on its causes, symptoms, and, most importantly, effective prevention methods, such as maintaining a clean environment and seeking early medical help.
The Kaputian RHU's participation in the Linggo ng Kabataan 2025 medical mission was a resounding success. By providing both direct medical aid and vital health education, the team not only addressed immediate health needs but also invested in the long-term well-being of the community, especially its youth. Under the leadership of Dr. Llanos, the team exemplified the spirit of public service, making a significant and lasting contribution to Barangay Libertad.
