Last November 14, 2025, ETTMNIHS proudly hosted the Katatagan Caravan at the covered court from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event brought meaningful discussions that empowered our students to stay strong when life gets tough.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated speakers — Nurse Lala — Ms. Wilinda E. Paz, RN, RM, MPHA for the insightful mental health talk, and Nurse Queenie — Ms. Queenie Elma Morales, RN for sharing the Katatagan program.

We also extend our deepest appreciation to Dr. Cherrie Lyn Tumilba-Boque, MD , Dr. Ferdinand C. Eusebio, MD, DMO IV, Mark de Dios, RN, Principal Donato A. Bataclan, all attending TEENDig nurses, and the club representatives who actively joined the activities such as the resilience tree, open forum, and messages of hope!

‎The TEENDig Kabataan Manual of Procedure was successfully launched during the TEENDig Kabataan Convention 2.0 held on October 28–30. Over the three days, participants and representatives shared updates on improvements and changes to the TEENDig Project since its first roll-out across schools in CALABARZON.
‎
‎Advocates brought energy and creativity to the event with performances that celebrated youth voice and teamwork.
‎
‎A heartfelt thank you to the DOH-CHD OIC DIRECTOR III, T.E.E.N.Dig stakeholders and representatives, and specially to T.E.E.N.Dig Program manager Dr. Monica Stephanie Moreno for their guidance and support — and for giving this opportunity to connect and grow.

‎Special thanks to Nurse WILINDA E. PAZ, the Emiliano Tria Tirona Memorial National Integrated High School, Kawit, Cavite, T.E.E.N.Dig Nurse, and Ma'am Kristine Mirador, our Teen Health Kiosk Adviser.

‎The convention was a space of learning, exchange, and renewed commitment; everyone left with new knowledge, practical ideas, and motivation to keep advancing adolescent health together.

Obesity isn’t just about weights, it’s about health. When our body weight goes beyond what’s healthy for our height, it can lead to problems like diabetes, heart disease, and even low self-esteem. The good news? We can prevent it!

Choosing healthier meals, drinking more water, moving our bodies every day, and saying no to too much sugar or junk food are simple steps that make a big difference.

Obesity Prevention Awareness is here to remind us: small choices today build a stronger and healthier tomorrow.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month. A month to remember the lives lost to su***de. In honor of su***de prevention month, let's use this month to make sure no one feels unheard or unloved. Let's use this month to tell the people you love that you
appreciate them. Let's give everyone a reason. A small little compliment can save someone's life and a small little insult can take someone's life. Think before you speak. Being kind is free.

If you are grieving, we hold space for your sorrow. If you survived, we celebrate your courage and the small, fierce steps that brought you here. If you are struggling now, please know: you are not a burden. You are not alone. There are people who want to listen, who will stay with you through the dark, who will walk beside you until the light feels nearer.

We will keep remembering. We will keep listening. We will keep showing up. For the lost, for the saved, for the fighting hearts — we are here.

𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡

Taking care of our lungs is very important for our health. One of the best ways to do this is to avoid smoking since it is the main cause of many lung problems. We should also stay away from secondhand smoke because it is just as harmful. Wearing a face mask in polluted areas, especially near construction sites or places with heavy smoke, can also help protect our lungs. Regular exercise strengthens both the lungs and the heart, making our body healthier. If a cough lasts for a long time, it is better to consult a doctor and not ignore the symptoms. Lastly, keeping the air at home clean by having good ventilation and avoiding burning things indoors can greatly improve our breathing and overall well-being.

Breast cancer remains one of the most common health challenges affecting millions of lives worldwide, and raising awareness is one of the most powerful weapons we have against it. Awareness is not just about knowing what breast cancer is — it’s about understanding the risks, recognizing the signs, and taking action early.

When we share knowledge, we give people the power to protect themselves and their loved ones. Knowing the risk factors such as aging, obesity, family history, radiation exposure, or having dense breast tissue is the first step. But awareness doesn’t stop there.

It’s about encouraging everyone — women and men alike — to be mindful of their bodies, to regularly check for unusual changes like lumps, pain, or shifts in breast shape, and to seek medical advice without delay. Early detection can save lives, and many cases can be treated more effectively if caught in time.
Prevention also plays a huge role.

Simple lifestyle changes like exercising daily, maintaining a healthy weight, and making nutritious food choices can help lower the risk.

Breast cancer awareness is about more than a single month of pink ribbons; it’s about year-round education, vigilance, and support. When we spread awareness, we create a community where people feel empowered to take charge of their health, where early detection becomes a habit, and where no one feels alone in their fight. Together, we can shine a light on breast cancer, save lives, and move closer to a future free from this disease.
