In the gentle embrace of Wao, a municipality located at the southern part of Lanao del Sur and surrounded by the green areas of Bukidnon and North Cotabato, the 65th Araw ng Wao was celebrated with strong community spirit and joyful festivities.

OPEC KAAMULAN proudly took part in the vibrant celebration of the Kariyala Festival – 65th Araw ng Wao held in Wao, Lanao del Sur on February 21, 2026. Led by the OPEC President, together with the Area Managers, OPEC Officers, and MLhuillier Wao Branch Staff, the team joined the festivities in full support of the community’s 65 years of unity, culture, and progress.

As part of the celebration, OPEC KAAMULAN conducted a marketing drive by distributing flyers and engaged ML customers through an exciting games roulette activity—bringing fun, prizes, and valuable information closer to the people of Wao.

In essence, OPEC Kaamulan’s participation in the 65th Araw ng Wao was more than just joining a festivity—it reflected a genuine commitment to generosity and togetherness. Every act from distributing flyers to sharing giveaways, showed their unity with the community. The celebration became a meaningful moment that brought organization and people closer, creating a lasting impression of pride, connection and collective happiness. ✨

On the occasion of the 1st Bug’aya Festival and 44th Foundation Anniversary of the Municipality of Banisilan, North Cotabato, OPEC Kaamulan took part in the momentous celebration to connect with the community and give back to its valued patrons.

The day started with a municipality-wide information drive, where our team introduced MLhuillier products to both new and existing customers. As we visited different areas, we were inspired by Banisilan’s cultural richness and the community’s growing progress.

After the flyering activity at the municipal grounds, we held a fun roulette game to reward loyal customers, giving away ML shirts, dried products, insurance packages, and towels—bringing excitement and smiles to everyone.

What made the day truly memorable was seeing the genuine joy on every customer’s face when they received their prizes. The program integrated both theoretical instruction and hands-on training, covering critical areas such as efficient building evacuation, proper use of safety equipment, and strategies to reduce risks to lives and property.

In a kind gesture aimed at easing immediate hardships, the initiative distributed food packs designed to sustain families for at least a week.

The community traces its origins to Agusan del Sur, where years of conflict between government forces and communist groups forced them to flee their homes in search of safety. Relocated to Impasugong, Bukidnon to build new lives and raise their families, they face formidable challenges—deprived of essential necessities, with food security being a pressing concern. For most, support from the government is their primary lifeline.

While the distribution of food packs may seem small and temporary, its impact is profound: it provides much-needed relief, ensuring that for a few days, families will not have to worry about putting food on their tables. Beyond addressing immediate needs, Opec Kaamulan’s mission, supported by MLhuillier Philippines, extends to standing with indigenous peoples across the region—working to uplift their lives while preserving their unique cultural heritage that connects them to their roots.
