Here we are for Day 2.

This is Spencer’s clinic 👉🏾 .kidapawan

Today, we studied Adho Mukha Svanasana or the famous downward-facing dog. This always looked like a simple pose to do but it’s deceptive. Little adjustments there on the hands, armpits, ankles… and yahoo. Sthira and sukha. Hello, presence.

We’re doing our 7-day yoga in Balay Hayahay again. This time I’m with Darling, Pearl, and Spencer. But Spencer couldn’t make it today. See you tomorrow!

It wasn’t Darling’s and Pearl’s first time to do yoga so on our first day, I led a remembrance of the yogic breath and the asana we studied today as seen is phalakasana or plank pose.

In all my classes, I just share how I personally understand and practice the asanas. I admit that I don’t know the full depth of the practice but… doing the practice is the way to find out. In our practice today, I emphasized the concept of the balance of sthira and sukha in an asana. Sthira or strength needed to build it and sukha or the ease to be in it. Efficiently holding everything together fully present with the breath.

✅ Day 7 of 7-day Yoga Journey

Last day! Today an exploration of “open” hips as in Warrior 2/Virabhadrasana 2.

Thanks to for almost completing the week. Thanks to everyone who joined in when she/he could. Without you, I wouldn’t have had this interesting, stimulating teaching experience.

Connected with our hips today and felt the small movements we can do with it. We kept it “closed” to the front today as in Warrior 1/Virabhadrasana 1.

Half way! Today we explored the Ujjayi breath and how effective it is to ground ourselves back in presence. We also added a little bit more spice to our modified sun salutation thru plank/phalakasana 😁

✅ Day 3 of 7-day Yoga Journey

New and old students came and melded with ‘s yoga journey. Today, in our modified sun salutation sequence, we explored another “simple” asana—the forward fold/uttanasana.

It was fun hearing everyone sharing about how her mind and body were reacting to the asana and how everyone was trying to just be with the breath 🙏🏾

Great to see new and old students back from the holidays!
