on a certain date of the month of April, the World Health Organization reminds us that MALARIA is still rampant in certain countries, especially to the developing countries.
What we need to know about Malaria in contrast to one of its common counterpart, Dengue Fever.
1. Malaria is caused by ANOPHELES MOSQUITO that usually bites in the evening, in contrast with Dengue Fever which is caused by AEDES MOSQUITO that usually infective early in the morning or late afternoons.
2. Malaria usually presents with these common initial symptoms that starts around 10-15 days after exposure:
*FEVER
*HEADACHE
*CHILLS
3. On the other hand, Dengue Fever usually starts 4-10 days after exposure with these common symptoms and warning signs:
*HIGH FEVER
*NAUSEA / VOMITING
*RASHES
*HEADACHE
*BODY MALAISE
