📣 Successful Adolescent Health Development Program! 💙

Held on April 21, 2026, at the Barangay Nagasi Elementary School Covered Court, the Adolescent Health Development Program was successfully conducted, bringing together young individuals for a meaningful day of learning and empowerment.

The activity focused on promoting health education among adolescents, highlighting important topics such as teenage pregnancy prevention, mental health awareness, su***de prevention, and overall well-being of our youth. Through engaging discussions and interactive sessions, participants gained valuable knowledge to help them make informed and healthy life choices.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of DSBMDH Adolescent-Friendly Hospital and La Carlota Primary Care Facility I, with a shared commitment to nurturing a healthier and more informed young generation.

Adolescent Health Development Program at San Miguel Elementary School II

The Adolescent Health Development Program (AHDP) conducted at San Miguel Elementary School II was a success, providing health education to adolescents aged 10–13 years old. The session focused on important topics such as puberty and body changes, HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), mental health awareness, su***de prevention, and teenage pregnancy.

As part of the activity, the HEEADSSS assessment was also conducted to better understand the adolescents’ home environment, education, eating habits, activities, drug exposure, sexuality, su***de/depression risks, and safety.

The activity was led by the La Carlota City Health Primary Care Facility Team, headed by their AHDP Coordinator, Luisa Mae Capistrano, together with her team members Ken John Mental, Aprelle Usi, and Lonny Juayan in collaboration with AHDP Coordinator Kathrina S. Labtic from Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital,
Through this initiative, the adolescents were equipped with valuable knowledge and guidance to help them make healthy and responsible decisions as they grow.
