In view of the National Women’s Month, BeGH’s Department of Surgery, in collaboration with the Cordillera Consortium, conducted a lay forum on breast screening and prevention with the theme . The activity aimed to empower the public—especially women—by promoting awareness and knowledge on early detection.

The forum was held on March 27, 2026, at the Outpatient Department and was attended by outpatients, hospital personnel, and affiliates.

The Regulatory and Licensing Enforcement Division (RLED) of DOH-Cordillera headed by Dr. Anachris Kilakil (Licensing Officer V) conducted an annual onsite monitoring and inspection at Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) on March 23–24, 2026. The two-day activity aimed to ensure the hospital’s continued compliance with national health standards.

Dr. Kilakil together with Dr. Corazon Bernabe ( Medical Officer IV) of the monitoring and inspection team covered key areas including Patient Rights and Organizational Ethics, Patient Care, Leadership and Management, Human Resource Management, Information Management, Safe Practice and Environment, and Performance Improvement. Additionally, assessments of personnel, physical plant, equipment and instruments, and emergency carts were conducted through interviews, document reviews, facility rounds, and direct observations. Also joining the monitoring and inspection team is Dr. Alexei Marrero of the Health Facility Development Cluster.

An exit conference was held following the monitoring and inspection, attended by members of the Integrated Hospital Operations Management (IHOM) of BeGH where initial findings and recommendations were discussed.

Hospital personnel, affiliates, patients, and visitors participated in the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held on March 12, 2026, at 3:30 PM. During the activity, participants practiced the proper earthquake safety maneuver, “Duck, Cover, and Hold On,” to ensure readiness and promote a culture of safety within the hospital community.

The drill aimed to strengthen awareness and preparedness in responding effectively during seismic events.
