LOOK | Let's Celebrate March

The Lal-lo Rural Health Unit successfully conducted a free community health service program entitled “Let’s Celebrate March” at Barangay Alaguia on March 25, 2026.

The activity highlighted several key health initiatives, namely:
👉Launching of PuroKalusugan
👉Women’s Month Celebration
👉Safe Motherhood
👉TB Awareness Month
👉Rabies Awareness Month
🫱 Mental Health for Women
🫱 Nutrisyon ni Nanay
🫱 Salon-At

A wide range of essential services was provided during the event, including essential self-care, free medical and dental consultations, mental health services, and family planning. These services were designed to ensure accessible, comprehensive, and quality health care for all participants.

In line with the celebration of Women’s Month, special attention was given to recognizing and valuing the significant role of women in the community. Women participants were not only provided with health services but were also pampered through complimentary hair trimming and styling, as well as nail care services by RHU’s Salon- At. This initiative underscored the importance of self-care and well-being among women, acknowledging their invaluable contributions as caregivers, leaders, and active agents of community development.

Empowering women through health education, maternal support, and wellness initiatives remains essential in building stronger families and more resilient communities. The program reaffirmed that investing in women’s health and well-being directly contributes to the overall progress and sustainability of society.

The activity was spearheaded by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Maria Concepcion B. Abbang, in collaboration with Municipal Dentist Dr. Juvy C. Bacuyag, DMD, together with the dedicated team of the Lal-lo Rural Health Unit.

HAPPENING NOW | Blood Letting Activity
March 11, 2026

Kasalukuyang isinasagawa ang Blood Letting Activity sa Lal-lo Multipurpose Center na pinangungunahan ng Lal-lo Rural Health Unit katuwang ang mga partner agencies upang makatulong sa pagpapalakas ng suplay ng dugo para sa mga pasyenteng nangangailangan.

Inaanyayahan at hinihikayat ang lahat ng kwalipikadong indibidwal na makiisa at makibahagi ngayon sa gawaing ito. Ang simpleng pagdo-donate ng dugo ay maaaring makapagligtas ng buhay.

NEWS || DTTB Deployed at Lal-lo Rural Health Unit
March 10, 2026

The Lal-lo Rural Health Unit recently welcomed a newly deployed physician under the Doctors to the Barrios (DTTB) Program of the Department of Health, aimed at strengthening the delivery of primary healthcare services in the municipality.

The deployment was endorsed by the Provincial Department of Health Office Cagayan (PDOHO Cagayan) headed by Dr. Reygiene Caratequit -DMO V together with Ms. Remedios Peleo-DMO IV , and the Health Human Resource Development Unit (HRDU) of CVCHD to further support the healthcare needs of Lal-loqueños.

As part of the visit, the newly assigned DTTB, Dr. Kacee White E. Dela Rosa conducted a courtesy call to Hon. Vice Mayor Maria Olivia B. Pascual, expressing commitment to work closely with the local government in strengthening health programs and services for the community.

The Lal-lo RHU expressed its gratitude for the continued support of partner agencies in ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for the people of Lal-lo.

Ayon sa Department of Health (DOH), mula pagkabata hanggang sa pagtanda, mahalaga ang kumpletong bakuna, regular na screening, at konsultasyon sa doktor upang mapanatili ang mabuting kalusugan at maiwasan ang iba’t ibang karamdaman ng kababaihan.

TINGNAN | Libreng Dental Services, Hatid sa National Oral Health Month

Bilang pagdiriwang ng National Oral Health Month, nagsagawa ang Lal-lo Rural Health Unit ng libreng serbisyong dental sa Naguilian Gymnasium noong Pebrero 26 upang palakasin ang kamalayan sa wastong pangangalaga ng ngipin.

Kabilang sa mga serbisyo ang Essential Health Care, libreng pustiso para sa kwalipikadong benepisyaryo, at fluoride application para sa mga mag-aaral mula Grade 1–6.

Pinangunahan ng ating Municipal Health Officer Maria Concepcion B. Abbang, kasama si Municipal Dentist Juvy C. Bacuyag, DMD ang aktibidad

LOOK || Philippine Heart Month | BP Monitoring for LGU Employees

In celebration of Philippine Heart Month, the Lal-lo Rural Health Unit conducted a Blood Pressure (BP) Monitoring activity for all employees of the Local Government Unit of Lal-lo.

The initiative aimed to promote early detection of hypertension and raise awareness on the importance of maintaining a healthy heart. Employees were provided with BP assessment, health counseling, and guidance on adopting heart-healthy lifestyles.

This activity highlights the LGU’s commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its workforce in support of quality public service.

NEWS || Lal-lo RHU Recognized as Northern Luzon’s one of the Top performing Newborn Screening facility-Collection age

The Lal-lo Rural Health Unit (RHU) has been recognized as one of Northern Luzon’s Best in Collection Age under the Primary Care – Government category for the 4th Quarter of 2025.

The award was given by the Newborn Screening Center – Northern Luzon in recognition of the RHU’s timely and efficient newborn screening specimen collection, a vital step in ensuring early detection and management of congenital conditions.

The achievement reflects the dedication and teamwork of Lal-lo RHU’s healthcare workers in delivering quality newborn services to the community.
