A “Go Bag” (also called a Grab Bag or Emergency Bag) is a ready-to-carry kit containing essential items you’ll need if you have to leave your home quickly during an emergency like a typhoon, earthquake, or fire.
Here’s a recommended list of items to include in your Go Bag:
🧍♀️ Personal Essentials
✅Valid IDs (photocopies and digital copies on phone/USB)
✅Important documents (birth certificates, land titles, ATM cards, etc.) in a waterproof pouch
✅Cash (small bills and coins)
✅Cellphone with charger and power bank
✅Whistle and small flashlight with extra batteries
✅Extra eyeglasses or contact lenses if needed
🧴 Health & Hygiene
✅Face masks and alcohol/sanitizer
Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, wet wipes, and tissue
✅Prescription medicines and first aid kit (bandages, antiseptic, pain relievers, etc.)
✅Feminine hygiene items
👕 Clothing
✅1–2 sets of clothes (lightweight and quick-dry)
✅Extra underwear and socks
✅Blanket or small towel
✅Raincoat or poncho
🍞 Food & Water
✅Bottled water (at least 1 liter per person per day for 3 days)
✅Ready-to-eat food (canned goods, biscuits, energy bars)
✅Can opener and utensils

✅Baby formula, diapers, bottles, wipes
✅Small toy or comfort item for children
✅Adult diapers or mobility aids if needed

💡 Tip:
Keep your Go Bag in an easy-to-reach spot near your exit and check/replace contents every 6 months (especially food, batteries, and medicine).
