The Divine Word College of Laoag, Inc. (DWCL) produced 53 new nurses after the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) named them as among the 40,692 passers of the November 2025 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination.

DWCL’s latest success reaffirms its strong performance in nursing education, continuing a consistent streak of high passing rates in recent board examinations.

This year, the institution sets an overall passing rate of 88.33 percent, surpassing last year’s 87.10 percent, thus, marking a notable improvement in its board performance.

The school also posted an impressive 91.23 percent passing rate among first-time takers, further strengthening its reputation for producing competent and well-prepared nursing professionals.

DWCL commended its graduates, faculty, and clinical partners for contributing to the achievement, noting that the results reflect the college’s continued commitment to academic excellence and quality healthcare education.

Beyond the 630,000 lives lost to AIDS-related causes during the same year, countless others continue to feel their worlds slow to a stop—not because they are part of the death toll, but because they move through each day carrying the weight of stigma on their backs.

‎This World AIDS Day, we are called not only to remember those we have lost but to protect the dignity of those who rise each day against their own struggles. Our work must go further than lowering statistics; it must create a world where people feel safe and supported enough to make them feel unafraid to step outside of their shadows.
