GRBASMH has been awarded BEST INTEGRATED HOSPITAL OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM IMPLEMENTER during the DOH Gawad Kalusugan 2025 Awarding Ceremony on December 11, 2025 held at Speaker Pro Tempore, Francisco I. Ortega, Convention Center, San Fernando City, La Union.

Also, we have been recognized for the exemplar implementation of the Integrated Hospital Operations and Management Program (iHOMP) Self-Assessment Tool.

PUBLIC ADVISORY

All hospitals and health facilities in Region I are placed on “Code Blue” Alert effective November 7, 2025 in anticipation of any eventuality during Tropical Cyclone Uwan

Under Code Blue Alert:
✅ Additional health personnel are now deployed in evacuation centers and temporary health facilities in typhoon-affected areas.
✅ Medicines, medical supplies, and mobile response teams are prepositioned to support LGUs.
✅ The Operations Center and Health Emergency Management Staff are activated for rapid coordination and emergency response.

The Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, in partnership with the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center and Singapore General Hospital, will be offering free surgical services on October 9 to 11, 2025.

Specialized surgical services will include:

• cleft lip and palate deformities
• skin contractures from burns or electrocution
• breast deformities
• hand deformities and microvascular cases
• shoulder, knee, or hip injuries
• osteoarthritis of the hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, or hand

National Hospital Week 2025
GRBASMH Highlights Day 5: Promoting a Healthy and Sustainable Workplace

To foster a cleaner and greener environment, GRBASMH conducted an Oplan Dalus clean-up drive and tree-planting activity in coordination with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office.

In addition, a “Huli-Cat” initiative was organized to rescue and shelter stray cats found within hospital premises, in partnership with the Provincial and City Veterinary Offices.

GRBASMH Highlights Day 4 [August 7]: Strengthening Community Connections

GRBASMH highlighted the value of community engagement through a series of outreach activities.

A feeding program and two lectures were held at Sta. Maria Elementary School. The first lecture was about Nutrition, delivered by Dr. Marie Antoinette G. Corpuz followed by Dengue lecture presented by Dr. Maria Dawn Rosary Y. Buscado

Simultaneously, a Dengue Awareness Talk was aired via RMN Network News by Dr. Buscado.

GRBASMH Highlights Day 3 [August 6]: Advancing Health Awareness

To promote greater awareness of essential hospital services, GRBASMH offered free HBsAg and Syphilis screenings, as well as mammograms. A successful blood donation drive was also conducted in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross Ilocos Norte Chapter and the PNP Laoag City Chapter.
