Happened last March 23, our Medical Technology Interns successfully completed their orientation and also marked their first day of duty at another affiliated government hospital, Bulacan Medical Center. The session was headed by Maura S. Isais (Chief Medical Technologist), Ma. Rosario M. Estrella (Training Officer) and Ma. Lourdes R. Ocean.
Following a successful first rotation in a private hospital, this second phase of their internship offers a new environment where they will apply their skills in a diverse public healthcare setting, gaining exposure to high-volume diagnostic operations.
The interns began their orientation by familiarizing themselves with specialized hospital protocols, safety regulations, and laboratory workflows, preparing them to contribute to patient diagnosis and care. This transition from private to public healthcare is designed to sharpen their competencies, resilience, and adaptability, ensuring they are well-equipped for the challenges of their future careers as Registered Medical Technologists.
