Dr. Cortez would like to stress that face-to-face consultations are still best for the patient. It is more efficient. It allows the physician to do a complete physical exam and utilize special instruments to better assess and address the concerns of the patient. However, during the pandemic, the online consultation is a service provided to patients that will allow them to seek medical care at less risk of contracting COVID-19. Please bear in mind that not all concerns can be addressed by an online consult. Emergencies are better addressed at a nearby hospital or health-care facility. Also, the diagnosis will be based entirely on what the patient reports/recalls of her condition. Likewise, there are potential risks such as technical difficulties, interruptions, hacking etc. Whether online or through face-to-face consult, rest assured that Dr. Cortez will care for you to the best of her abilities and will likewise take all precautions to safeguard your health, privacy, and confidentiality.
