Doing quadruple time even on sundays teaching 4th year medical students to bridge the learning gaps of their second and third years in med school when most of the learnings are thru online! A Blessed all Soul’s Day today! Please pray and offer masses for the poor souls in purgatory especially those who are forgotten and who are in most need of prayers! One of the perks of being a disabled elderly : You get to see La Gioconda ( Mona Lisa ) up close and personal. In my younger years during my earlier travels to the LOuvre in the late 90’s there was no boundary between her and the crowd. In 2014 there was already a boundary in place. But due to vandalism and other attacks done to this Da Vinci’s Master work, the distance now between sight seer and the Mona Lisa is really too far!!! I know from my past visits that the real portrait is kept in a safety vault anyway!

I have been a doctor for more than 30 years already and I have witnessed first-hand how the Thai healthcare industry has flourished through the years.

A few months ago, I was in Bangkok, Thailand for a personal trip with my daughter. We got to pass by Bumrungrad International Hospital to have a look at the healthcare facilities and services. I know their Health Screening Center is one of the largest physical checkup centers in Southeast Asia, and I just had to make a visit.

Who is Dr. Nune Balgomera?

Dr. Nune Babao Balgomera is an active practitioner of Internal Medicine for 28 years. She has subspecializations in Neurology from the UPPGH/JRRMMC and Diabetology from the UERMMC-Institute for Studies on Diabetes Foundation, Inc. She is also a Certified Hypertension Specialist of the Philippine Society of Hypertension and a Diplomate and Fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians. She holds administrative positions in various hospitals in Las Pinas, Cavite and Laguna. She has been a member of the academe since 1993 and at the present time holds an Associate Professor 9 position at the DLSMHSI-College of Medicine.
