𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: In line with the continuous effort to strengthen the emergency response capabilities of 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥, the 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 through 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐛-𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 successfully conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training on 03–05 March 2026 at Virac Sports Complex, Rawis, Virac, Catanduanes

A total of 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲-𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 (𝟑𝟓) 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 from CGS Catanduanes, OPCON units and lighthouse keepers were successfully completed the said training which focused on equipping personnel with essential knowledge and practical skills in life-saving interventions such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with Automated External Defibrillator, Rescue Breathing management, and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction Management.

The training aimed to enhance the preparedness and competence of Coast Guard Stations Catanduanes personnel in responding effectively to medical emergencies when needed.

Through this activity , the Philippine Coast Guard Nursing Service continues to ensure that PCG personnel remain capable of delivering immediate and appropriate care during emergency situations.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 through 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐛-𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 (𝐂𝐆𝐍𝐒𝐒𝐔-𝐁𝐂𝐋) 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 successfully conducted a Five (5) Days 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 (𝐁𝐋𝐒) Training to Forty-Seven (47) personnel from Coast Guard Station Sorsogon on 23 - 27 February 2026 at Coast Guard Station Sorsogon in Barangay Talisay, Sorsogon City.

The training aimed to enhance the emergency response capabilities of personnel by equipping them with essential life-saving skills. Participants underwent comprehensive lectures and intensive hands-on training in performing High-quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Rescue breathing using Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM) and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction Management.

Through this initiative, personnel of Coast Guard Station Sorsogon are now better prepared to respond effectively to emergencies both at sea and on land, reinforcing their commitment as true Guardians of the Sea.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊!

The 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐛-𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 – 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 (𝐍𝐒𝐒𝐔-𝐁𝐂𝐋) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧- 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥 (𝐂𝐆𝐌𝐄𝐃- 𝐁𝐂𝐋), successfully conducted a 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 activity for Coast Guard Station Albay (CGS Albay) personnel composed of Eighteen (18) participants held at Function Hall, Headquarters Coast Guard District Bicol, Rawis, Legazpi City.

This initiative forms part of the NSSU-BCL’s regular mental health program, which aims to promote healthy mind, cultivate emotional resilience, and provide a safe and supportive environment where personnel can openly express their thoughts and concerns. Recognizing the demanding nature of service in the Philippine Coast Guard, the activity emphasized the importance of psychological well-being as a vital component of operational readiness and effective performance.

By continuously conducting Mental Health Awareness and Su***de Prevention activities, NSSU-BCL reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding not only the physical health but also the mental and emotional well-being of every Coast Guardian—ensuring they remain resilient, mission-ready, and steadfast in the fulfillment of their duties.
