Back to the oldest town in Albay!

Online registration is officially open!

Every first edition deserves a meaningful beginning and the 1st Albay Marathon proudly finds its home in the oldest town in Bicol a place rich in history and vibrant community spirit. Some may expect the event to be held in the 2nd District but out of respect for the Legazpi Marathon that space is already well represented. This gives us the opportunity to begin something new where it truly fits.

Designed for runners of all levels. The course features a smooth combination of rolling terrain and mostly flat roads. Expect less traffic, a simple and easy to follow route, strong community involvement and an estimated total elevation gain of under 60 meters. No long punishing climbs just a steady rhythm made for pure running.

This landmark event will be part of the opening activities of the Paroy Festival 2026 where Libon is also known as the rice granary of Albay. The race is proudly organized through the collaboration of Team Rundentor, Team Ninong, Municipal Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development and the LGU of Libon with the full support of Mayor Markgregor Edward Sayson. United by a shared vision. This partnership ensures a safe, well organized and community driven race that truly reflects the spirit of Libon and Albay.

Even before registration officially opened we already received a large number of messages and inquiries expressing interest in joining the race. To show our appreciation we will raffle 20 event shirts to participants who register during the early bird period. Rest assured that all race entitlements are thoughtfully designed unique and made with quality in mind for everyone.

Location: Tuburan, Ligao City, Albay, Bicol
Aid station distance from starting line: 625 Miles (1,005 Kilometers)

This will be their last push as they reach the finish line at Capitol Park, Sorsogon.

​While our pacers lead the front, we are equally thrilled to introduce the person who represents safety, support, and the absolute final promise of the finish line: our Official Race Sweeper, Mr. Modesto Harley!

​Mr. Harley's role is one of the most vital, ensuring that every participant—especially those taking their time or pushing through challenges—is accounted for and safe.

​🛡️ The Crucial Role of the Sweeper:

🔅​Last Person Protection: Mr. Harley will be the official last person on the course, following the very last runner or walker in the 21K distance.
🔅​Safety Assurance: He ensures that no runner is left behind, providing a sense of security for those at the tail end of the race.
🔅​Course Closure: His presence signals to aid stations and marshals that the course section can be closed, allowing roads to safely reopen as scheduled.
🔅​Encouragement: He's the final anchor of motivation, offering support and encouragement to those conquering their biggest physical challenge!

​This role is not about speed; it's about stewardship, care, and making sure everyone completes their journey safely.

In light of the incoming weather disturbance expected to affect the Bicol Region, and in line with our commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, facilitators, and partners, the REFORMERS ULTRAMARATHON YEAR 4 slated for November 8, 2025 is hereby POSTPONED until further notice.

This decision was made after careful consideration of current weather advisories and in coordination with the PROVINCIAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT COUNCIL. While we share everyone’s excitement for this event, safety remains our top priority.
