2nd Batch Advent Recollection 2025

Today, the UST Legazpi Hospital community welcomed the Second Batch of participants for our Advent Recollection—an enriching reflection on the First Advent through the eyes and heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Our resource facilitator, Rev. Fr. Michael M. Sales, OP, guided us through Mary’s journey, inviting us to rediscover her faith, her courage, and her unwavering focus on Jesus. Her life reminds us that Mary’s heart was always centered on Christ—in her yes, in her service, and in her praise.

This recollection offered a sacred pause for reflection and prayer, gently preparing our hearts for His coming. It was followed by the Sacrament of Confession and culminated in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, led by Rev. Fr. Joseph R. Raquid, Pastoral Director.
As we continue through this holy season, may our hearts remain ready for His coming—peaceful, hopeful, and filled with love

1st Batch Advent Recollection 2025

Today, the UST Legazpi Hospital community gathered for the First Batch of our Advent Recollection, reflecting on the First Advent through the eyes and heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our recollection facilitator, Rev. Fr. Michael M. Sales, OP led us into the beautiful mysteries of Mary’s journey (Annunciation, Visitation and Magnificat)—inviting us to rediscover her faith, her courage, and her profound focus on Jesus. Through these mysteries, one message becomes clear:
Mary’s focus was always Jesus — in her yes, in her service, and in her praise.

The talk was followed by the Sacrament of Confession and culminated with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, led by Rev. Fr. Joseph R. Raquid, Pastoral Director.

As we enter this Advent season, may the Blessed Virgin Mary inspire us to:
Say “yes” to God’s call,
Carry Christ in our hearts, and
Proclaim His goodness through our work and service.

Institutional Christmas Lighting Ceremony
November 28, 2025
The hospital sparkled with blue, white and silver colors as we officially welcomed the Christmas season through our Institutional Christmas Lighting Ceremony.

With this year’s theme, “Cool Vibes, Warm Hearts: USTLH Winter Wonderland Christmas” the hospital glowed with shimmering lights and cool tones —reflecting the comfort and care we extend to every patient, visitor, and staff who walk through our doors.

As the lights glowed, we were reminded that even in the busiest days of hospital life, the warmth of compassion, teamwork, and service continues to shine the brightest.
Here’s to a season filled with hope, healing, and heartwarming moments.

FIRE & EARTHQUAKE DRILL 2025

UST Legazpi Hospital successfully conducted its 2nd Fire and Earthquake Drill on November 20, 2025, reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to readiness, awareness, and coordinated emergency response. This activity aims to ensure that all USTLH employees, patients, and visitors remain safe through proper evacuation procedures, teamwork, and quick decision-making.

Prior to the drill, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) facilitated an orientation covering the types and classes of fire, proper emergency response procedures, evacuation protocols, and the correct use of fire extinguishers, among other essential topics.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the BFP for leading this vital orientation and for continuously supporting our disaster preparedness initiatives. Our sincere thanks as well to the USTLH Emergency Response Team, all offices and personnel who actively participated—your cooperation strengthens USTLH’s culture of safety, resilience, and readiness.
