Reopening of Lianga MHO Birthing Clinic

The Lianga Municipal Health Office (MHO) is pleased to announce that the MHO Birthing Clinic will officially reopen on Monday, October 27, 2025, after the completion of its repairs and repainting works.

All birthing and maternal care services will resume upon reopening. The facility has been enhanced to ensure a safer, cleaner, and more comfortable environment for mothers and newborns.

For inquiries or scheduling, you may visit the MHO or coordinate with our Nurses and Midwives assigned to your respective Barangay Health Stations.

We sincerely thank everyone for your patience and continued trust in our services. Together, let’s keep promoting safe motherhood and healthy beginnings!

The Lianga Municipal Health Office simultaneously joined two outreach activities today!

The National Correctional Consciousness Week (NACOCOW) celebration at Lianga District Jail offering free medical and dental check-ups with medicine dispensing.

And the Lianga IP (Indigenous People) Day at KM9, Sitio Simuwao, Diatagon, providing free medical consultations and medicines.

Bringing health services closer to every sector of the community - because ang kalusugan ay karapatan ng lahat! 💚👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

⚠️ LOCAL SHELLFISH ADVISORY ALERT ⚠️

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Caraga has issued a warning after shellfish samples from Lianga Bay, Barobo, Surigao del Sur tested POSITIVE for Paralytic Shellfish Toxins (PST).

Residents and visitors are advised to refrain from gathering, selling, or eating shellfish (kinhason) and alamang from the affected area to avoid shellfish poisoning.

🐟 Fish, crab, and squid are safe to eat only if entrails are properly cleaned and washed before cooking.

Let’s help safeguard public health and the local shellfish industry.

This activity aims to enhance our team’s capacity in managing electronic medical records and ensure accurate health data reporting for better planning and patient care.

Kini buhaton aron masiguro nga limpyo ug luwas ang atong pasilidad para sa mga inahan ug newborns. 👩‍🍼👶

Sa karon, ang mga expectant mothers ug kinsa pa man nga nagkinahanglan ug birthing services are advised nga moadto sa Lianga District Hospital para sa proper care ug assistance.

Maghatag kami og update kung mahuman na ang repair works ug open na usab ang atong Birthing Clinic.

Gikan Marso 2024 hangtod Marso 2025, 88% sa mga PLHIV nga naka-enroll sa antiretroviral therapy (ART) ug naka-undergo og viral load test ang nahibaloan nga virally suppressed.

Kini nagpamatuod nga ang padayon nga ART makatabang nga mas dali nila maabot ang status nga Undetectable = Untransmittable.

Huwag matakot magpa-HIV test. Kung magpositibo man, may libre at epektibong gamutan para mapanatili ang malusog na pamumuhay. 💊👍
