In partnership with Zone Medical and Intervention Hospital, Inc., PhilHealth, and OWWA, the YAKAP CARAVAN brought vital health services and support to OFWs and their families at the Ligao City Gymnasium.

TODAY’S YAKAP ACTIVITY: Zone Medical and Intervention Hospital (ZMIH) in partnership with The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and PhilHealth
is holding a Reintegration and Yakap Caravan (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families today, August 22, 2025, at the City Gymnasium, Ligao City, Albay.

“Masaya at overwhelming ang activity natin today. Maganda ang vision ng PhilHealth at ZMIH para makapagbigay ng serbisyo sa mas marami pang OFWs at pamilya. Ito naman ang gusto at palaging objective ng OWWA,” said OIC–Regional Director Jenivie Diaz–Aguallo in her welcome remarks.

The event has drawn around 300 OFWs and their families, who are actively availing of the services and programs offered during the caravan.

“Nag-umpisa ito sa PhilHealth. It takes one person to change the concept para maramdaman ninyo ang pagbabago. With this program, meron na po tayong funding na ₱20,000 per year per individual to cover your medical check-ups and medicine,” said Dr. Christopher Asido, Chief Executive Officer of ZMIH Ligao City.

The Reintegration and Yakap Caravan provides free medical check-ups, healthcare benefits, and access to reintegration programs. It also raises awareness of OWWA and PhilHealth services while strengthening partnerships to ensure that OFWs and their families receive the care and support they deserve.
