What a privilege and honor to be speaking with seasoned experts in the field of craniomaxillofacial surgery during the 67th Philippine society of otolaryngology-head & neck surgery Annual Convention.
Learned a lot from all their talks!
Their years of experience and their intentionality to keep bringing the best care for their patients is what made them the masters of their craft. And i am truly inspired by them. ❤️ 👁️ 💀

There are days when things can be challenging and not as easy. But on most days i remember (and keep remininding myself) that this is what i always wanted to do. One of the perks of being an eye doctor is I get to see my friends and even their families, and i get to help them out with their eye concerns! ❤️👀👁️

It was an honor to be part of the 5th APOTS virtual conference, along side all these experts on this very very challenging field. I enjoyed myself listening to the veterans talk and share their pearls on how they managed these ophthalmic trauma cases. Looking forward to the rest of the discussions in todays sessions:) great job to the organizers (shout out to my mentor Dr Ganga), congratulations again!🎉🎊

As social distancing and quarantine protocols continue to be the norm, patient's better judgment prevent them from going to clinics and hospitals for conditions and complaints they would normally seek medical consult for. Even eye hospitals and clinics in other parts of the world have noticed this significant decline in their ER consults, and this brought up concerns of long-term risks to health and vision if treatment of some of these conditions are delayed. [https://www.aop.org.uk/ot/professional-support/health-services/2020/05/11/drop-in-ae-attendance-]. The thrust of our guidelines and protocols in the clinics is to defer non-urgent consults, with safety and health of everyone as our prime priority, especially during this COVID-19 era. But, there are conditions that do need urgent medical attention. From an ophthalmologic point of view, here are some eye problems which may warrant immediate care. Please take a look and share.

Also, in view of the recent modifications of our ECQ/GCQ protocols, please lets not let our guards down. Keep your masks on (properly please) and observe proper social distancing! Stay safe everyone!
