Department of Health Regulation, Licensing and Enforcement Division (DOH RLED) Team Visits Don Modesto Formilleza Sr. Memorial Hospital (DMFSMH) for Licensing Compliance Assessment

DMFSMH, March 16, 2026 - The DOH RLED Team recently conducted a thorough site visit to the hospital to assess its compliance with health standards and evaluate the adequacy of its documentation for licensing pruposes. This process is crucial for ensuring that the hospital operates under strict health and safety standards, providing quality care to the public. The visit also aims to verify hospital’s infrastructure, healthcare services, medical staff qualifications and overall compliance with national health policies.

This marks a key step in the hospital’s ongoing efforts to maintain high standards of healtcare delivery. With a few areas identified for improvement, the hospital is confident that it will meet all necessary requirements for full accreditation and licensing. Hospital administrators assured the DOH RLED team that all necessary improvements would be promptly addressed to meet licensing requirements. This strengthens the hospital’s position as a trusted healthcare provider but also reassures the public that health facilities in the province of Romblon are adhering to rigorous safety and quality standards.

Regional Director of DOH MIMAROPA Visits Don Modesto Formilleza Sr. Memorial Hospital , Inspects Facilities and Supports Upgrade to Level 1 Heath Facility

On March 11, 2026 Department of Health MiMaRoPa Pesonnel lead by Regional Director Dr. Rodolfo Antonio M. Albornoz together with the Provincial DOH Office staff was welcomed by Don Modesto Formilleza Sr. Memorial Hospital staff. This visit included an evaluation of the hospitals infrastucture, medical equipment, staffing capacity and overall service delivery. He also took time to meet hospital’s chief and section supervisors to understand their working conditions and address any concerns they might have. The hospital’s management emphasized the importance of such an upgrade, as the current infrastucture and equipments are sometimes insufficient to handle the increasing number of patients, particularly those requiring immediate medical attentions. His visit to the hospital represents a significant step forward in healthcare development. His full support for the hospital’s uograde to level 1 facility signals a hopeful future for improved medical care and an enhanced ability to meet the needs of people in the southern part of Romblon. All these are possible through collaboration with the Provincial Goverment through Governor Trina Firmalo-Fabic

Members of the group garnering the highest points in the Topics Exercises during the Training Workshop on Refining and Enhancing the Fundamentals of Diabetes Mellitus held on February 26–27, 2026 in Odiongan, Romblon. Their performance reflects strong teamwork, clinical competence, and commitment to quality diabetes care. Starting February 26, 2026, ang Outpatient Department (OPD) services po ay suspended until further notice dahil sa ginagawang renovation sa loob ng ospital.

Priority po namin ang safety ng ating mga pasyente habang inaayos ang pasilidad. Humihingi po kami ng paumanhin sa anumang abala.

Paalala: Ang ating Emergency Room (ER) ay nananatiling bukas 24/7 para sa mga urgent na medical cases.

🗓 Lunes - Biyernes: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
🗓 Sabado - Linggo: NO OPD

⚠️ MAHALAGANG PAALALA:

Para maiwasan ang matagal na paghihintay, mangyaring dalhin ang mga sumusunod:
1. Index Card – Upang mahanap agad ang inyong medical records.
2. Valid ID – Para sa mabilis na verification ng inyong identity at requirements. (Halimbawa: National ID, PhilHealth ID/MDR, Birth Certificate)

Tandaan: Ang pagdadala ng mga ito ay makakatulong para maging mas mabilis ang proseso ng inyong check-up.

At para sa mga seryosong karamdaman o emergency, ang ating Emergency Room (ER) ay BUKAS 24/7 para sa lahat.
