𝐕𝐊𝐕 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐭 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐬

The UP Venerable Knight Veterinarians Fraternity, through the VKV Reach initiative, successfully conducted a free rabies vaccination and consultation drive in Barangay Maahas on October 9, 2025. The activity served 200 animals, comprising 151 dogs and 49 cats, as part of the fraternity’s continuing commitment to promote rabies prevention and community animal health.

In partnership with the Sangguniang Barangay ng Maahas and the Jurisvet Los Baños 24 Hours Pet Emergency Hospital, the event also offered free multivitamins (200 bottles) and pet food samples (100 packs) to support overall pet wellness.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our partners and sponsors Bounty Cares Foundation, Inc. and AVLI Biocare, Inc. for their steadfast support in advancing this cause.

On October 9, 2025, the UP Venerable Knight Veterinarians Fraternity, through VKV Reach, successfully conducted a Free Consultation and Rabies Vaccination Drive at the Maahas Covered Court in Los Baños, Laguna.

The event was organized in partnership with the Sangguniang Barangay ng Maahas and the Jurisvet Los Baños 24 Hours Pet Emergency Hospital, with the support of Bounty Cares Foundation, Inc. and AVLI Biocare, Inc.

A total of 200 animals were vaccinated, consisting of 151 dogs and 49 cats. In addition, 200 multivitamins were distributed courtesy of AVLI Biocare, Inc., and over 100 sample pet foods were given to pet owners courtesy of Bounty Cares Foundation, Inc.

Through this initiative, the fraternity continues its commitment to promoting responsible pet ownership and preventing rabies in local communities under its outreach arm, VKV Reach.

Come one, come all!

The UP Venerable Knight Veterinarians Fraternity and the UP Venerable Lady Veterinarians Sorority proudly join the University of the Philippines Los Baños in celebrating the 107th Loyalty Day and Alumni Homecoming this October 5 at the CVM Administration Building Parking Lot.

This year’s celebration, with the theme “𝘜𝘗𝘓𝘉 𝘈𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘯𝘪: 𝘈 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴”, pays tribute to a tradition deeply rooted in loyalty and service. It began in 1918 when 193 students and 27 faculty members of the UP College of Agriculture volunteered for the Philippine National Guard during World War I. Their courage and patriotism established a legacy that continues to inspire generations of alumni.

As we honor this enduring tradition, we are reminded that true loyalty calls us to serve our communities, strengthen our University, and continue the spirit of volunteerism that defines Loyalty Day.

Through the years, the UP Venerable Knight Veterinarians Fraternity has reached communities with 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬. These milestones, where over 𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, paved the way for the creation of 𝐕𝐊𝐕 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡—our dedicated arm for sustained community service.

What began as initiatives of service has now grown into a legacy we commit to continue, reaching out and changing lives.
