(CEFI) is a non-stock, non-profit institution of learning. It was founded in 1973 by Drs. Emeterio and Josefina Calayan. For 23 years, the school was known as the Medical Center Lucena Educational Institutions, Inc. (MCLEI), until it was rechristened with its present name in 1996 in honor of the founders. CEFI became the pioneer paramedical institution in Quezon Province. Our expertise and experience sets the standard in health-related tertiary and vocational programs. At present, CEFI stands alone as the sole paramedical institution in the province, with its Medical Technology, Radiologic Technology and Physical Therapy programs. Expanding its services to accommodate the growing needs of the clientele, CEFI to date is one of the few private institutions in Lucena City that offer pre-elementary, grade school, high school and college courses. Aside from paramedical courses, CEFI also has courses for business, liberal arts, hospitality, criminology, information technology, and teacher education.
