Calayan Educational Foundation, Incorporated Founded in 1973, CEFI offers over 20 programs in basic education, baccalaureate, and graduate school programs. CALAYAN EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION INC.

(CEFI) is a non-stock, non-profit institution of learning. It was founded in 1973 by Drs. Emeterio and Josefina Calayan. For 23 years, the school was known as the Medical Center Lucena Educational Institutions, Inc. (MCLEI), until it was rechristened with its present name in 1996 in honor of the founders. CEFI became the pioneer paramedical institution in Quezon Province. Our expertise and experience sets the standard in health-related tertiary and vocational programs. At present, CEFI stands alone as the sole paramedical institution in the province, with its Medical Technology, Radiologic Technology and Physical Therapy programs. Expanding its services to accommodate the growing needs of the clientele, CEFI to date is one of the few private institutions in Lucena City that offer pre-elementary, grade school, high school and college courses. Aside from paramedical courses, CEFI also has courses for business, liberal arts, hospitality, criminology, information technology, and teacher education.

Welcome home, CEFI RRTs!

With great pride and honor, the CEFI College of Radiologic Technology organized a Homecoming Program for our newly registered Radiologic Technologists (RRTs) who passed the December 2025 Licensure Examination, held last January 13, 2026.

The program was dedicated to recognize the outstanding achievement of this batch as CEFI proudly clinched the Rank 9 spot among the Top Performing Schools in the Philippines.
