We are proud to announce that Aya-aya, Betahon, B**a, Calangahan, Kaluknayan, Lower Talacogon, and Upper Talacogon are now certified by the Provincial Health Office as Level 1 Facilities providing Adolescent-Friendly Health Services💚✨

This milestone is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our health team, led by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Jarlim L. Jarales, RN, DMO IV Hilario C. Chan, PHN Winilie S. Manit, RN, HRH Lugait team(reymund, kersee, Lyniza, Ingrid, Chrisfel,Rimmy and Levi), and the RHU staff, who continuously strive to make quality health services accessible to our youth. 🌿💬

Successful Conduct of Nocturnal Blood Examination on Filariasis at Barangay B**a 🩸

💉🌸 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓗𝓮𝓻 𝓕𝓾𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮, 𝓞𝓷𝓮 𝓓𝓸𝓼𝓮 𝓪𝓽 𝓪 𝓣𝓲𝓶𝓮

On July 4, 2025, together with the Upper Talacogon nurse and midwife, Maam Lyniza Armecin and Maam Merlyn Silador, Brgy. Lower Talacogon nurse Chris Fel Nadorra and the active BHWs, we have successfully administered the 2nd dose of the HPV vaccine to 21 girls aged 9 to 14 years old in Talacogon Integrated School — a crucial step in protecting them against cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sir Dela Cruz, principal of TIS, for generously allowing us to use your venue for our recent activity.

🛡️ The HPV vaccine is most effective when given before exposure to the virus, which is why it’s recommended early. With just two doses, we’re giving these young girls a strong shield for a healthier future.

📌 Reminder to parents: Complete vaccination = Complete protection!

Let’s continue to invest in prevention and protection.

🩸𝓗𝓮𝓻𝓸𝓮𝓼 𝓐𝓶𝓸𝓷𝓰 𝓤𝓼🔥

Last July 21 and 30, bloodletting activity was done in brgy. Lower Talacogon and Brgy. Kaluknayan. Together with the dynamic Municipal MedTech, Maam Rodelyn Limocon, the activity was conducted with 37 generous donors (20 from Brgy. Kaluknayan and 17 from Brgy. Lower Talacogon) who took part in this life-saving mission.

🩺 The purpose of this activity is to help maintain an adequate blood supply for hospitals — vital for emergencies, surgeries, and patients with conditions like anemia, cancer, or trauma.

💡 Did you know? Donating blood also offers health benefits to the donor:
✔️ Stimulates production of new blood cells
✔️ Helps maintain healthy iron levels
✔️ Can improve heart health
✔️ Free mini-health check before donation

To our 37 donors — thank you for your selfless act of kindness. Your blood may be just a small portion of your body, but it can mean the world to someone in need. 💪🏼

🦟⚠️ Dengue is deadly — but preventable!

Dengue fever is caused by a virus transmitted through the bite of an Aedes mosquito, which breeds in clean stagnant water. Reported through the PIDSR, Brgy. Lower Talacogon currently has 2 active dengue cases. With no specific cure, prevention is our best defense.

🏡With the help of the Bgy. Council led by our dynamic Capt. Renan P. Joromo and Kagawad-on-Health Luz Anhao, today we successfully completed the 4 cycles of Dengue Search and Destroy in Purok Mabungahon, Brgy. Lower Talacogon — inspecting and eliminating possible breeding sites to protect our community.

✅ REMEMBER:
✔️ Clean and cover water containers
✔️ Remove stagnant water regularly
✔️ Keep surroundings dry and clean
✔️ Practice 5S: Search and destroy, Self-protection, Seek early consultation, Support fogging during outbreaks, Sustain hydration.
