Many people think of Leprosy as an ancient disease. And then, there are some that still believe that Leprosy has no cure, which remains a common myth.
The truth is that, each year, thousands of men, women, and children all over the world develop this disease. After a major breakthrough in the 1940s, Leprosy a curable disease today.
However, despite effective treatment, leprosy is one of the world’s most stigmatized diseases, and people living with leprosy-related disabilities are shunned and discriminated against.
