LAST HURRAH, but make it 7x — Sunday to Saturday! 😅
These past 7 days were the most exhausting yet most heart warming community days we have had. Oh our dear Barangay Santa Cruz! We are truly grateful for welcoming us into your homes, for our shared meals and stories, and for your well wishes and prayers for us as we continue on with our journey to becoming good community doctors, in shaa Allaah!
Glad to have our SUNDAY lunch and dinner with our Kuya Arjilou and Ma’am Sal, salamat kaayo sa mga katawa moments nato! We will miss you our Purok 2 mom and dad 💗
Had fun during our MONDAY birthday dinner plus karaoke sesh with Ate Ay and Kuya Archie as we celebrated their son’s birthday, salamat ate ug kuya! Nakabalo na jd mi knsa jd ang tinuod na head cook ug assistant cook! 🤣
Shared breakfast, lunch, bruises and abrasions with Team One Guripan on TUESDAY as we went together on an adventure we will surely remember. 🌊
Grateful for the opportunity to impart our knowledge on WEDNESDAY during the FDS session as part of the 4Ps of DSWD and the sumptuous lunch they prepared for us as well. 👩🏻🏫
On THURSDAY we had mixed emotions as we helped our BHWs (Maam zel, maam adelwina, maam remy) and our NDPs (Maam che and maam joy) for the last time in the BHS during the immunization, prenatal, and distribution of maintenance meds day. We just had to treat for lunch our hardworking BHWs for their job well done! 💉
Had to hit 2 birds with 1 FRIDAY though! Glad to be invited for lunch by our gwapa na ates and mom in Purok 6 — the Calibjos (ate juneza, ate neneng, ate leila, and mama socorro). Shared some stories and tears but not goodbyes, only see you again! 🥺 Then went on to Mananag Spring Resort for our despedida partayyy with the RHU together with Team Isang Isidro, Team LSDreamers, and One Guripan. Our hearts are full to hear compliments and kind words from our beloved RHU staff headed by Doc Butch whom we truly have high regards for. 🎤
To cap off the week-long “so long!”, on a windy SATURDAY, our beloved Purok 7 organized a culminating program for us. It was like a ride of roller coaster emotion — we cried, laughed, cried, then laughed again. We took to our hearts all your messages and well wishes for us. Just know that we are filled with gratitude for taking your time and effort to make such program only for us! Special shoutout to our foster family in the purok — Papa miguel, Mama Leny, Ate Ay and Kuya Archie — you guys are the best! Lunch was overwhelming too! The entire purok brought and shared, not only did our stomachs become full, but so did our hearts! (Pictures not here, see next post! Hehe) 😭❤️ And finally, how could we leave without sharing dinner plus karaoke sesh with our Mama Virgie, not only is she our Health Kagawad, but also our 1st ever Mama in the Barangay. Thank you, Mama Virgie! 🥰
