Building Transplant Readiness: HLA Testing Essentials for Kidney Transplant Programs

On February 9, 2026 at the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center and February 11, 2026 at Alex III Restaurant, healthcare professionals gathered for an in-depth scientific lecture focused on strengthening kidney transplant programs through essential HLA testing practices.

The sessions were led by Dr. Ramona Chopra, Werfen’s Regional Director for Transfusion & Transplant, and Claire Ballesteros, RMT, Strategic Business Unit Supervisor for Microbiology & Patient Blood Management at SBSI. Both speakers shared valuable insights on advancing transplant readiness, optimizing laboratory workflows, and enhancing patient outcomes through accurate and reliable HLA testing.

This initiative forms part of SBSI and Werfen’s commitment to scientific education, continuous professional development, and the advancement of transplant diagnostics.
