Our Story
CorDerm Advanced Dermatology and Laser Center started as an idea of Dr. Margaret Corcoran. She envisioned a clinic wherein she will be able to employ the skills and knowledge in lasers and dermatologic surgery that she learned in University of California-San Francisco under Dr. Christopher Zachary and in Menkes and Morganroth Clinic in Mountainview, California under Dr. Greg Morganroth, as well as laser dermatologic surgery for Asian skin which she learned in Ramathibodi Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.
The clinic started as a small space in the 15th floor of Medical Plaza Makati, and slowly expanded to 3 units in the same floor of the same building. There were just 2 laser machines in the clinic at the start, but over time, the clinic accumulated all the best and high-end machines such as the PicoSure™ Laser, VBeam Perfecta™ Laser, Thermage FLX™, Ultherapy™, Fotona StarWalker™, LightSheer™ DUET, etc. The clinic prides itself as the only clinic in the Philippines that has the Sculptra™ dermal fillers, a collagen-forming filler for a more natural volumization of the face, as well as the Plasmage™ machine which employs fractional plasma therapy for non-surgical blepharoplasty and other non-surgical applications.
Dr. Corcoran has been invited to expand to several malls and commercial centers, but she refused. She always wanted to be the only dermatologist to treat her patients personally and give the utmost care to them to the best of her ability, not relegating the care of her patients to other doctors because she believes in continuity of care to all her patients. Thus, she wants CorDerm Advanced Dermatology and Laser Center to be the ONE and ONLY clinic, which delivers ADVANCED DERMATOLOGIC and LASER TREATMENT, that’s PERSONALIZED to each and every one of her patients.
Dr. Corcoran keeps herself abreast and updated with all the breakthroughs in dermatologic surgery and laser treatments by going to International conferences such as the Laser and Aesthetic Skin Therapy by Harvard Medical School, International Master Course on Aging Science (IMCAS), International Congress of Aesthetic Dermatology (ICAD) and Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC).
