We teach prepositions of place because it is important for a child to report the location of a person or an object. We need that skill for various reasons such as safety, clarity and for following instructions.

Here we show Mommy Mae reviewing Lael’s prepositions of place. His progress has been fast because she reviews all our lessons at home. 👍🏼😊

My college, UP Manila’s College of Allied Medical Professions (UP-CAMP), is celebrating its 60th anniversary today. ❤️

I am in awe that my young teachers, mature beyond their years, instinctively celebrated the gifts of my experience and encouraged me, throughout the hardship, to fulfill what I felt was my destiny.

Our little friend has had a long day! She is totally balanced and rested in an unusual place - the swing! 🤗 Her vestibular system is working to keep her safe, oriented, and comfy in her chosen rest spot!

We envy how she can find her zen in a rather wobbly place. 😮🧡😆

T. Tricia Ricasio is a graduate of UP-Manila and a licensed occupational therapist, with certifications in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Multi-Sensory Structured Language Approach to Remedial Reading. She is also a trained Rainbow Yoga teacher.

Drawn to the OT profession for its diverse and unexplored fields, she has taken on various roles in the community — collaborating with artists to teach art in SPED public schools and developing psychosocial support programs during the pandemic with the DepEd DRRM. She is also a member of Restart Hope in CICL (Children in Conflict with the Law), a non-stock corporation that advocates occupational justice, provides life skills training, and instills hope among youth in correctional centers.

In her free time, T. Tricia engages in volunteer work, multi-day hikes, and cultural immersion activities.

Our mini crash pad is a hit with G! 💥🤩

For sensory seekers, crash pads provide deep pressure or proprioceptive input, helping our little friends get their wiggles out by literally "crashing" their bodies against the surface.

In addition, crash pads can also provide a calm and regulating environment in sensory quiet corners.
