International Food Services (IFS), a Belgian-founded maritime catering company, inaugurated its Training & Hospitality Facility in the Philippines on 26 February 2026, setting new standards for crew training and service excellence. ⚓

The BFBC was represented by Marcus Leslie Suntay, Director and Chair Maritime Committee, at the Grand Opening.

Diwata ng Karagatan, a 1936 Filipino film directed by Carlos Vander Tolosa, starring Mari Velez and Rogelio dela Rosa, was believed to be lost during World War II.

Nearly 90 years later, a surviving copy was found at the Royal Belgian Film Archive (CINEMATEK), following research shared by film historian Nick Deocampo. 🎞️✨

Belgium is leading the way in nuclear innovation.🇧🇪

SCK CEN, the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre, is teaming up with partners from Italy, France, and Romania to develop lead-cooled small modular reactors (SMRs) in Mol.⚡️

These advanced reactors use lead instead of water, making them more efficient, safer, and producing less nuclear waste. The initiative focuses on mitigating nuclear waste and helping Europe transition to a cleaner, more resilient energy approach. ♻️🔋

Belgium plans to launch commercial SMRs by 2039, pioneering the next generation of clean nuclear energy. 💡
