Leadership in healthcare is not always about introducing something new. Often, it is about helping clinicians see existing options more clearly.

At the 18th Asia-Pacific Vitreo-Retina Society Congress, held with the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Congress, our Transmedic Ophthalmology team participated as a Venti Sponsor, engaging surgeons in thoughtful, experience-led conversations across the ophthalmic spectrum.

The Glaukos Users Meeting 2025, held last month by the Glaukos Corporation at Seda Manila Bay, brought ophthalmic surgeons together to reflect on this shift toward interventional glaucoma. Through open discussion and shared clinical experience, the meeting explored how minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) is redefining treatment pathways and helping reduce reliance on long-term medication while preserving vision.

Conversations centred on real-world outcomes with the iStent platform, with regional insights from Dr. Damrong Wiwatwongwana complemented by perspectives from Dr. Robert Ang on local practice. A panel discussion with Dr. Rainier Covar FPAO FPGS and Dr. Jose Ma. Martinez added practical considerations, surgical pearls, and forward-looking views on how glaucoma care may continue to evolve.

RCOPT 2025 brought together the region’s ophthalmic community, and we were privileged to be part of the conversations shaping the future of eye care.

As exhibitors, our Transmedic Thailand Ophthalmology team engaged closely with clinicians throughout the three-day event—exchanging insights and showcasing Teleon Premium IOLs, glaucoma innovations such as the Ahmed Glaucoma Valve by New World Medical and Healaflow, and the increasing importance of comprehensive dry eye evaluation with the IDRA by Sbm Sistemi s.r.l.

We were also excited to introduce the new CFX Linker by SERVImed Industrial S.p.A., which sparked forward-looking discussions on the emerging potential of corneal cross-linking and how it may support future therapeutic pathways in Thailand.

RCOPT 2025 reaffirmed the value of collaboration and strengthened our commitment to supporting ophthalmic professionals with technologies that make a meaningful difference. We look forward to driving this shared progress together.
