➡️ Miriam Menkin became the first person to witness the world’s first fertilized human embryo outside the human body in 1944. After six years of carefully timing and exposing s***m to egg, she finally observed the moment the cells fused and began to divide.

➡️ Jean Purdy was the first to identify the development of early human blastocysts. She witnessed the successful cell division of the embryo that would become Louise Brown, the world’s first baby born through IVF.

➡️ Muriel Harris was the first surgical IVF nurse who coordinated egg retrieval procedures and built a committed team of volunteer nurses to assist in IVF research more than 40 years ago.

Their milestones have shaped the lives of many who dreamt of parenthood, showing the endless possibilities women can achieve with reproductive medicine.

On the same day as the egg retrieval, a s***m sample is collected through ma********on in a private room at our clinic.
