The Society for Men’s Health, Philippines (SMHP) believes that men’s health is a multidisciplinary area involving a wide range of medical specialties and health disciplines working together to address the unique health needs of males. In the Filipino culture, there exists an undeniable sense of machismo such that Filipino men would prefer to keep their macho image and would never admit to personal weaknesses. These silent killers are mirrored by a wide abdominal girth,erectile dysfunction, fatigue and the grumpy old man behavior that are accepted symptoms of aging. If not recognized early, these signs and symptoms may lead to cardiovascular disease, stroke, cancer and ultimately death. Statistics show that women are expected to outlive men by 5-10 years thus a yearly visit to your men's health physician should bride this gap. The male reproductive system and sexual health play a key role in men's well-being. Knowing your body and what diseases affect you is the first step leading a healthy life.

We did it again!

The Society for Men’s Health, Philippines (SMHP) took Men’s Health Day: FREE Screening for Prostate Cancer to Bacolod - a program that provides men, ages 40 and above, access to screening prostate cancer (abdominal ultrasound only).

Our medical team did a corporate event with Nature's Village Resort on the morning of 26 January 2018 (Friday), followed by a FREE Screening on Prostate Cancer at the Masskara Hall in New Government Center.

We also held a talk on men's health-related issues on 27 January 2018 (Saturday) at the Nature's Village Resort. Philippine Urological Association President Dr. Wilfredo Tagle and The Society for Men's Health Philippines President Dr. Quincy Raya talked about prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia, ED, and how to cure such health concerns.

We would like to thank Ms. Eva Abesamis and Mr. Edgardo Sarrosa for organizing the Men's Health Day: Bacolod. We also extend our gratitude to those who attended the event. Thank you for the productive weekend, Bacolod. We hope to see you again.
