Our Story
At Abesamis Eye, we aim to provide the best vision care by practicing optometry in accordance with the global standards of good clinical practice. We perform and advocate for comprehensive vision exams and say no to stand-alone refraction. We aim to provide our patients the best visual care within our capabilities, and we do this by a commitment to learning and education of our optometrists, keeping up to date with research from literature and journals, evidence-based practices, and upgrading skills through attending local and international conferences and trainings. We believe that as optometrists, we are at the forefront of vision care, and we take this role seriously. Since 1928, Abesamis Eye has been serving the visual needs of Filipinos. What started out as a laboratory of lenses in Quiapo, Manila, became a full-fledged optometry eye center in Makati City with internationally-trained doctors who have served and continues to serve the visual needs of thousands of patients in the Philippines.
