In celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Dr. Serapio B. Montañer Jr., Al-Haj Memorial Hospital, in partnership with the Kasama MOH Sa Kalusugan- Ministry of Health–BARMM and the Civil Service Commission–Field Office Lanao del Sur, proudly conducted a Blood Donation, Dental, Medical, and Surgical Mission on September 11, 2025, at the DSBMMH Grounds, Mable, Malabang, Lanao del Sur. The activity started with a short program that set the tone for the day’s meaningful services. It opened with the singing of the National Anthem, BARMM Hymn, and DSBMMH Hymn, followed by a warm welcome and inspiring message from Dr. Hanipha Madale-Montañer, Chief of Hospital II of DSBMMH. She was then followed by Dir. Sandrah Arnica M. Usman, Assistant Regional Director – CSC BARMM, who emphasized the importance of public service in improving the Bangsamoro well-being.
Dr. Alinader D. Minalang, Provincial Health Officer II – IPHO Lanao del Sur, also gave a message highlighting the health sector’s efforts in supporting the services which was complemented by the insights of Dr. Anna Zenaida Alangadi Unte-Alonto, Schools Division Superintendent – Lanao del Sur II, who underscored the role of education and inter-agency collaboration in advancing public service. Messages of support and encouragement were also delivered by Ma’am Guimala A. Dimaren, RN, Nurse V / KMSK Regional Coordinator, and Hizami C. Amerol, Senior HR Specialist-CSC Field Office Lanao del Sur. The program was capped with closing remarks from Dr. Romeo G. Montañer, Executive Consultant – DSBMMH, officially marking the start of the mission proper.
Following the program, the blood donation, dental, medical and surgical mission commenced, where a total of 426 patients received free services. The services included were consultations covering Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, and Obstetrics, ultrasound procedures, dental services, blood donation drive participated by our police and army personnel, haircuts and ear piercings and life-changing surgeries consisting of major and minor cases. To further support the patients, 192 beneficiaries also received giveaways such as hygiene kits, dental kits, wheelchairs, and walkers, extending the mission’s impact beyond clinical services.
This successful activity highlights the strong collaboration among government agencies and stakeholders and reflects the unwavering commitment of DSBMMH to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to the people of Lanao del Sur. Indeed, the event not only celebrated the Civil Service Anniversary but also proudly embodied its theme, “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal at Galing Para sa Bayan.” ❤️🇵🇭
