Ito ay programa ng Department Of Health (DOH) sa pakikipag tulungan sa DepEd,naglalayon na mabigyan ng proteksyon ang mga kabataan laban sa mga sakit na maaaring iwasan sa pamamagitan ng bakuna tulad ng Measles,Rubella,Tetanus,Diphtheria( MR-TD) at Human Papilloma Virus(HPV).

Ang mga bakunang ibibigay ay:

Daan Suyan, Malapatan – The Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Malapatan spearheaded the Municipal Buntis Congress with the theme “Promoting Safe Motherhood and Exclusive Breastfeeding.”

The event sought to educate expectant mothers on the importance of prenatal check-ups, safe pregnancy practices, and the health services available to them.

Municipal Health Officer-in-Charge Dr. Daryl M. Sambuto formally opened the activity with a welcome message. Representative from the PhilHealth Satellite Office in Alabel also discussed the benefits of PhilHealth membership, particularly in availing of consultations and facility-based deliveries.

Dr. Aileen M. Brion, Chief of Hospital of Sarangani Provincial Hospital–Alabel, delivered a lecture on prenatal consultation, highlighting essential do’s and don’ts during pregnancy. She also reminded mothers planning to deliver at SPH Alabel of the admission requirements and necessary preparations.

The event was further graced by Hon. Al Omer Suib, Sangguniang Bayan Committee Chair on Health, and Hon. Titus Mandalo, Municipal IPMR, who both expressed their support and urged mothers to actively participate in maternal health programs.

Madam Flordeliza P. Sumbo, MMPA—First Lady of Malapatan and President of the Municipal Tourism and Development Board—shared insights on responsible parenthood and emphasized valuing pregnancy as a precious gift. She also represented Sumbo Cares, the flagship social program of Mayor Salway D. Sumbo, Jr.

A key highlight of the congress was the provision of various health services, including laboratory tests, oral health examinations, and medical consultations. Mothers also benefited from PhilHealth profiling and enrollment facilitated by the MSWDO. Attendees received Buntis Kits from the LGU, food packs from Sumbo Cares, and maternity kits donated through the DOH-CHD XII Maternal Health Program and partner Beybiko.

Municipal Dentist Dr. Zamrod S. Remitar conducted oral health education session and distributed oral care kits provided by partner Colgate-Palmolive Philippines.

This year’s Buntis Congress was held in Barangay Daan Suyan to reach mothers in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs), particularly Daan Suyan, Kinam and Upper Suyan. 📌 Nutrition & Health Check-up in Sitio Kitulag, Barangay Kinam
🗓️ August 15, 2025

Yesterday, a nutrition and health check-up for malnourished children was successfully conducted in Sitio Kitulag, Brgy. Kinam. The activity aimed to assess the nutritional status of identified children, provide medical consultations, distribute supplements, and guide parents on proper feeding and child care practices.

We are grateful for the presence of Mayor Salway Jun Sumbo and Ma’am Flordeliza Sumbo, whose continued support through the Sumbo Cares Program strengthens the campaign against malnutrition.

The activity was spearheaded by OIC-MHO Dr. Daryl S. Sambuto, with the active involvement of the Municipal Health Office (MHO), the Municipal Nutrition Action Office headed by Ma’am Arvy Coliao, Arlyn Malayon,RM and the committed participation of our Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs). Together, they worked tirelessly to ensure that the children of Sitio Kitulag receive proper care and support.

💚 This united effort shows our strong commitment to fight malnutrition and build a healthier, stronger future for every child in Barangay Kinam.

The Department of Health—Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) SOCCSKSARGEN Region warns the public against misleading claims circulating online about an alleged “lockdown” due to MPox cases.

The DOH-CHD SOCCSKSARGEN clarifies that there is no declared lockdown in any regional provinces, cities, or municipalities. It also warns that such fraudulent acts may lead to criminal charges for the dissemination of false information.

Furthermore, the DOH-CHD SOCCSKSARGEN assures the public that health facilities are fully prepared to handle cases effectively by ensuring implementation of the Health Facility Preparedness and Response Plan for Mpox.

The common symptoms of Mpox are skin rash or mucosal lesions, which can last 2-4 weeks. The rashes are accompanied by fever, headache, muscle aches, back pain, low energy, and swollen lymph nodes. Anyone can get Mpox.
If you think you are a close contact of a person with Mpox or showing symptoms of Mpox, immediately self-isolate and contact your nearest health service provider.

The DOH-CHD SOCCSKSARGEN reminds the public to be vigilant and to exercise caution when dealing with information online and circulating within the community.

As the rainy season sets in, the risk of dengue significantly increases due to the rise in mosquito breeding. The public is strongly reminded to strengthen dengue prevention efforts as the risk of transmission remains very high during this period.
To safeguard your family and neighbors, everyone is urged to implement the
𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝟒𝐒 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲:

1. 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐲 mosquito-breeding sites by regularly inspecting surroundings for items or areas where stagnant water may collect, such as discarded tires, flower pots, gutters, water drums and open containers.

2. 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 by using insect repellents, wearing long-sleeved clothing, and sleeping under mosquito nets particularly for young children and elderly.

3. 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 if experiencing symptoms such as fever, rashes, headache, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pain, or nausea.

4. 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐠𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, especially in areas with reported high dengue cases, to help control mosquito populations.

Gensan Doctors Hospital, in partnership with LGU Malapatan through the Municipal Outreach Program, will conduct a screening and consultation for "bukol" (lumps) on May 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Super Health Center, Lun Padidu, Malapatan.

👥 Participants:
•Fifty (50) participants will be selected for general surgery cases.
•Participants must have an active PhilHealth account.
📄What to Bring:
•Medical documents, if available (e.g., X-ray, ultrasound, etc.)
•Face mask
