This is the maker of this page, SOON YOU'LL GET BETTER, yours truly, Louis Joseph Mazo Candari. I am a grade 11 GAS A student from Malay National High School.
First of all, I would like to welcome you to this social media page which also serves as my social advocacy page.
At first, I decided to make this FB Page for our activity in our Empowerment Technology that deals with making social advocacy that will bring change in the society using the ICT technology. But as time goes by, I was like, "Maybe I can use this FB page to be my first stepping stone for me realize my advocacy which is to prioritize the mental health of every individual especially the youth", and by that thought, I get the feeling that urges me to do it. And finally, here I am, DOING IT.
In this pandemic time, mental health has been a great social issue in our society. It affects not only the well-being of an individual but the individual itself. As a young member of the community, I have witnessed many situations regarding this issue, and at some point, experienced it myself. Mental health is not just a simple topic. It is a topic that deals not only with health but most importantly with life.
So here I am, driven by my passion and my wanting to help those people get through this situation in their life that I, myself, have experienced. I know how hard it is to battle with yourself, your mind, and your emotions. It is so hard to deal with. I wanted to use my voice, to use this social media page, and to use my platform not only to make a change but also to make those people that in this battle, they will never fight alone. I also wanted to realize that no matter how hard life gets, no matter how problematic it gets, there will always be a reason for us to fight and to go on, and to finally say, "Soon I'll get better. Soon you get better. Soon we will all get better."
Thank you for being with me on this journey. Let us face everything no matter how scary and dangerous it is, as long as we believe and as long as we have faith and hope, there will always be sunshine and rainbow after the thunderstorms and the rain.
