Malitbog RHU headed by Dr. Christian Poleño (Municipal Health Officer) warmly welcomed the team from DOH EVCHD Health Facility Regulation and Development Division for the Malitbog Birthing Center Initial Inspection for Licensing as Birthing Home.

The 3 man team was composed of Engr. Merida, Ma’am Wenona Wae Tutaan and Ma’am Felice Yra Dacutan, who evaluated compliance to the assessment tool and provided technical guidance on operations.

Buwan sa ENERO ang
NATIONAL DEWORMING MONTH

Pinaagi sa kanunay o regular na pag purga sa atong mga bata, mas mapalig on nato ang ilang panglawas, mas dali ang pagdawat sa mga sustansyang naa sa pagkaon, ug mas lig on ang ilang resistensya batok sa mga nagkalain lain na mga sakit. Mao nga importante gayud ang pag purga sa mga bata ka duha sulod sa usa katuig.

Malikayan ang Bitok o Bulate pinaagi sa paglimpyo sa atong lawas. Sa regular na paghugas sa atong mga kamot ug siguradohon nato na maluto pag- ayo ang atong mga pagkaon.

Karong ENERO, ang atong mga Health Workers mopatigayon o manghatag ug tambal pang
purga sa mga bata sa atong lugar.

Sa dugang kasayuran magpa konsulta kita sa eksperto sa haduol na Rural Health Unit o sa mga Barangay Health Center.

Malitbog RHU personnel, headed by Dr. Christian Poleño (Municipal Health Officer) warmly welcomed the Regional Validation Team from DOH EVCHD - Family Health Unit for the Assessment and Validation of the Malitbog Teen Center as Level II Adolescent Friendly Health Facility.

The team was composed of
1. Dr. Maria Hazel Rose M. de Asis
2. Mr. Leo F. Erne
3. Ms. Wilma M. Ruiz

After validation of documents, the Malitbog Teen Center was credited a score of 52 / 55 points, quaifying as the first Level II Adolescent Friendly Health Facility in the province of Southern Leyte.

BNS Monthly Meeting
January 2026

Hon. Kenneth Blair S. Oben - Municipal Nutrition Council Chairperson spearheaded the BNS Monthly meeting conducted last January 12, 2026.

He also distributed height boards and IEC materials in support of the various nutrition activities for the month of January, including Operation Timbang and Deworming.

Also in attendance are Dr. Christian K. Poleño (MNAO-Designate) and Ma’am Janette Oben, RN (Nutrition Program Coordinator).
