Borcelas Med sent a 3-man laboratory team in support of a medical mission organized by the Davao Oriental Medical Society (DOMS) , led by its president Dr. Razo, in collaboration with the Rural Health Unit of Caraga under Dr. Limen, last October 21 at Sitio Dangsilas, P.M Sobrecarey , one of the remote and geographically isolated areas in Caraga.

The team provided free laboratory services including CBC, platelet count, and urinalysis, extending healthcare services to communities affected by earthquake.

This activity was also held alongside a relief distribution program organized by the Local Government Unit of Caraga, NGOs and private volunteers displaying the spirit of unity and compassion for public service.

As one of the alumnus of the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC),
Dr. Borcelas had a chance to reconnect with former colleagues, friends and fellow healthcare professionals who were deployed in recent earthquake incident that occur in our hometown.

SPMC PEMAT promptly mobilized a dedicated medical response team composed of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals which was headed by Dr. Porticos. This deployment was part of the medical centerโ€™s ongoing commitment to providing immediate and comprehensive medical assistance in times of crisis. The team worked closely with local government units and disaster response agencies to deliver essential healthcare services, conduct medical consultations, and provide hospital support and health center manpower in both RHU -Manay and DOPH- Manay.

During our 3-day free clinic which started since saturday (October 11) , we were honored to serve a total of 220 patients in our facility.

157 of them received free laboratory tests/ECG

and

45 received free X-ray services

We are truly grateful for the trust youโ€™ve placed in us.

Please be informed that starting today, October 15 (Wednesday), we will resume to our normal clinic operations.

We hope that this simple gesture sparks a ripple effect of kindness and helps restore our shared sense of humanity and volunteerism.
